Tottenham 4-0 Bournemouth: Ruthless Spurs Continue Fine Form to Close the Gap on Chelsea Once Again
Tottenham recorded their seventh straight win to close the gap on
Premier League leaders Chelsea as they beat an overwhelmed Bournemouth
4-0 at White Hart Lane.
With the Blues facing a tough trip to Old Trafford on Sunday, Spurs took
advantage of Saturday's early kick-off and cut the lead at the top
to four points as goals from Moussa Dembele, Son Heung-min, Harry Kane
and substitute Vincent Janssen lead them to their 12th consecutive home
victory.
After a fairly even opening, Spurs
began to exert a level of control on proceedings and called Artur Boruc
into action when Dembele's fierce drive was kept out by the Pole.
The
Tottenham midfielder was not be denied minutes later when a Christian
Eriksen corner flashed across the Cherries box and landed at the feet of
the Belgian, who had time to control the ball before lashing home to
get the hosts up and running.
