Yaya Touré ends second spell with Olympiakos after three months

• Ivorian leaves by mutual consent having made five appearances

Yaya Touré has parted company with Olympiakos after three months. Touré made five appearances during his second spell with the Greek club. The Ivory Coast midfielder left Manchester City at the end of last season but failed to make an impact with Olympiakos, and his last appearance came on 8 November.

The club said in a statement: “Olympiakos FC and Yaya Touré would like to announce to the fans that they have mutually agreed to end their cooperation. Yaya is leaving as a friend and the doors at Olympiakos will always be open for him. Our paths will surely cross again.”
