Choirul Huda, Indonesian goalkeeper, dies after collision with team-mate

• His club Persela Lamongan pay tribute to ‘legend’

Choirul Huda, the goalkeeper for Indonesian top-flight club Persela Lamongan, has died after a collision with a team-mate during a league match on Sunday.

The 38-year-old collided with his defender Ramon Rodrigues and an opponent as he came off his line to challenge for the ball during a game against Semen Padang. He was rushed to hospital where he died.
