Paul Pogba has failed to make Manchester United’s flight to Dubai for a week of warm-weather training due to a leg injury, though the club expect him to join up soon.

The Frenchman suffered the problem in a second half challenge by Newcastle United’s Jonjo Shelvey in Wednesday’s 2-0 win at St. James’s Park, the midfielder not receiving even a booking for what appeared a dangerous challenge.
