Ange Postecoglou quits as Socceroos coach

• Coach makes announcement after weeks of uncertainty
• He will not take his team to the World Cup in Russia

Ange Postecoglou has confirmed he has quit his post as coach of the Socceroos and not take the side to the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

“After a great deal of thought and soulsearching, the journey for me ends as Socceroos coach,” he told a news conference on Wednesday.
