Fans Reaction: Crystal Palace become the 1st top division team in history to start a season with 5 defeats and no goals
Crystal Palace have set the unwelcome Premier League and English football record with five defeats and zero goals scored since the start of a season.
The Eagles fell to a 1-0 loss to Southampton in Roy Hodgson's first game in charge; Shane Long's sixth-minute opener proving enough to condemn the hosts to a fifth successive defeat.
Not only are Palace pointless, but they are also goalless after 450 minutes played which is a new Premier League record, surpassing Newcastle United. They will face Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea in their next 3 games.
