Memphis Depay has the pace Manchester United have been crying out for - Paul Scholes

Paul Scholes has backed Manchester United 's signing of 21-year-old Dutch winger Memphis Depay.

The transfer was completed yesterday, with the Red Devils fighting off competition from Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain, who reportedly offered more money, to get the deal over the line.

Mirror claim that Scholes has been critical of United at times this season, but feels Depay will provide the pace they have been badly lacking up front.
