Peter Beardsley leaves role as Newcastle under-23s coach

• Coach had faced club investigation
• Newcastle ‘grateful for contribution’ made by Beardsley

Peter Beardsley has left Newcastle, the club have announced.

The 58-year-old former Magpies, Everton and Liverpool striker had been working as under-23s coach and had been investigated over allegations of bullying.
