Manuel Lanzini to miss World Cup for Argentina after serious knee injury

• West Ham midfielder ruptures anterior cruciate ligament
• Lanzini scored five goals in 29 games for West Ham last season

Manuel Lanzini has suffered a serious knee injury during an Argentina training session that will rule the West Ham midfielder out of the World Cup.

In a statement posted on their iofficial Twitter account, the Argentinian Football Association, said: “Manuel Lanzini suffered, in today’s morning trainng, the rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament of his right knee.”
