Manchester United sign Fred on five-year deal from Shakhtar Donetsk

Manchester United have announced the signing of Brazil’s Fred on a five-year deal from Shakhtar Donetsk.

The midfielder, currently on international duty at the World Cup in Russia, passed a medical on Thursday. United reached agreement with Shakhtar earlier this month, with the Premier League club reportedly paying a fee in excess of £50m.
