Now busy masterminding Swansea City’s revival, Carvalhal knows remaining in the Premier League is infinitely more important than the cup. “We’ll try our best but if we don’t get to the next stage it’s OK,” he said. “We’re underdogs, not because we’re worse than Wednesday, but because we’re outside our main priority which is focusing on staying in the Premier League.
