Wolves stamped their authority over yet another Championship promotion contender with an easy win against Sheffield United.

Two goals of a quality befitting the top division gave the hosts a comfortable first-half lead. The dismissal of the United goalkeeper, Simon Moore, with 15 minutes to go, followed by a goal from the resultant free-kick, merely rubbed salt in the wounds. Chris Wilder’s visitors were game, but thoroughly outclassed.
